Every Muslim firmly believes that the Holy Prophet ﷺ, the Seal of Prophethood, is the final source of guidance. Dr. Humaira Tariq

Dr. Humaira Tariq, Secretary General of the Women’s Wing of Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan, has said that the Holy Prophet Muhammad ﷺ came with the eternal scripture of guidance for all humanity. With his blessed arrival, the great chain of prophethood and divine guidance reached its completion.

She expressed these views in her statement on the occasion of Youm-e-Tahafuz-e-Aqeeda Khatm-e-Nubuwwat (Day of Protection of the Belief in Finality of Prophethood ﷺ). She said that for every Muslim it is obligatory to have faith in the Prophethood of Muhammad ﷺ and to affirm that he, Muhammad Ahmad Mustafa ﷺ, is the final Prophet of Allah Almighty, who brought the chain of prophethood to completion. Whoever accepts any false claimant of prophethood is an apostate, an enemy of Islam, and liable to capital punishment.

She further stated that the belief in the finality of prophethood is a unanimous and collective doctrine of Islam. The first Caliph, Hazrat Abu Bakr Siddiq (RA), eradicated false claimants to prophethood from their roots. In the history of Pakistan, 7th September 1974 stands as a day of great historic achievement, when through an unparalleled movement for the protection of Khatm-e-Nubuwwat, the Qadianis were unanimously declared a non-Muslim minority by the Parliament of Pakistan. More than fifty years have passed since this historic decision, which was a victory for all Muslims of Pakistan.

Dr. Humaira Tariq said that anyone working to protect the belief in the finality of prophethood will always have the support of the Holy Prophet ﷺ. Therefore, we must be ready to sacrifice our lives, wealth, and efforts for the honor and dignity of the Prophet ﷺ, while instilling in the new generation an awareness of the importance of safeguarding the doctrine of Khatm-e-Nubuwwat.

She lamented that the Anti-Qadianiat Act 1984 is not being properly implemented. She demanded that government officials who patronize Qadianism, as well as conspiratorial and anti-state elements hiding in the media, must be held legally accountable and dealt with strictly.

She further added that the doctrine of Khatm-e-Nubuwwat must be made an essential part of the educational curriculum at every level. In a state founded in the name of Islam, the enforcement of Islamic laws and the practical implementation of the model of governance presented by Prophet Muhammad ﷺ is a necessity. Only then can Pakistan become a truly Islamic and prosperous nation, fulfilling the true practical demand of safeguarding the belief in the finality of prophethood.
