Hadrat Ibn Umar relates that the Prophet of Allah (PBUH) said:
“Ones who fight in the way of Allah and those who perform Hajj and Umrah are
Allah’s guests. Allah invited them and they accepted His invitation. They asked
Allah and He gave them.” (Ibn Maja) SubhanAllah what great respect the holiest
creature is the host; On His call His servants go as His guests and get whatever
they ask for. And the one who does not go when he is called is cursed because
only those who can go are called. May Allah save us from having the capability
of performing Hajj and not plan for it.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Hadrat Ibn Abbas relates that the Prophet of Allah (PBUH) said:
“Perform Hajj soon because no one knows what hurdle he might face.” (Aabul Qasim
Asfahani)
It is human nature to procrastinate. This sometimes becomes an issue of doing
away with things that are fard. That’s why if one is capable one should not
delay performing Hajj. Hadrat Abu Huraira relates that the Prophet of Allah (PBUH)
said: “The one who left for Hajj and died, his rewards for Hajj will be written
till the day of judgment. One who left for Umrah and died his rewards for Umrah
will be written till the of judgment. One who left to fight for Allah and then
died his reward for this act will be written until the day of judgment.” (Abu
Yala) This is in Allah’s greatness that when someone dies while doing Ibaada
will be involved in this activity until the Day of Judgment. Even if the Day of
Judgment comes after thousands of years he will written as performing those acts
and will be rewarded for them. This does not decrease Allah’s treasures. If
there is another Ibadat besides the ones mentioned above that person would be
rewarded for that in the same way as well. A person that wants to gain rewards
even after death should always keep the Ibadat of Allah on his mind. This way he
will be given rewards in this world and also will continue after death. Is there
anyone out there who would run towards this tremendous reward? If only we all
were able!
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Hadrat Jareeda related that the Prophet of Allah (PBUH) said: “The reward for
spending on Hajj is like spending in jihad for Allah, which is 700 times.”
(Ahmad, Tabrani)
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Hadrat Abu Huraira related that the Prophet of Allah (BUH) said:
“When a haji leaves his to perform Hajj and his spendings are halal and when he
puts his foot on the horse shoe and he says Labaik Allahumma Labaik a message
returns from the skies which says Labaik Sayyeda your money is halal your ride
is halal your hajj is accepted and is clear of any sins. And when one leaves
with unclean money the message says, there are no blessings on you your money is
not haram your ride is haram and your hajj is not accepted.” (Tabrani
fil Osat)
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Hadrat Umar(MABPWH) relates that the prices were really high in Madinah and the
public were really worried. RasulAllah (PBUH) said be patient and accept this
good news, I have prayed for you barakah, eat together do not eat alone, one
man’s food is enough for two and two men’s food is enough for four and four
men’s food is enough for five or six, there is barakah in eating together. One
who remains patient in the heat and hardship of madinah I will intersect for him
and be his witness, and one who turns away from this Allah will bring someone
better than that man. Whoever has bad intentions towards Madinah Allah will melt
him like salt melts in water.” (Masnad bazaar)
Before Hijra the atmosphere of Madinah was not healthy. Severe fever used to
make people ill. After Hijra the prayers the Prophet (PBUH) did for public of
the center of Islam it was cured of its problems. Allah gave living and baraka
and special importance to living in this city. Muslims have a yearning for the
city of Madinah. The ones who live there get the baraka of living there and
those who don’t get the baraka of wishing to live there. If the wish is true
then the baraka of living in Madinah can be achieved elsewhere. As the Prophet (PBUH)
said, “Actions are dependent on intentions.” If two people eat together a meal
for one would be enough for the two. To make economic and social situation
better the best remedy is to invite another to share your meals. But it’s not
just about sitting together and eating. Its also about acquiring everything with
ones own hard work and should be known that others have a right on even this
hard earned meal. Personal needs should be completed in moderation, should stay
away from showing off and arrogance. Muslim culture is of helping each other and
being there for each other. The more we stay away from it we suffer in this
world and lose rewards in the here after. Everyone should evaluate themselves
personally and should also try to find ways to make it a part of our culture
collectively as well.

Hadrat Ibn Abbas relates that the Prophet (PBUH) said:
“The water of zam zam completes any wish that it is intended for. If one drinks
it to be cured of a disease Allah will cure the disease. If one drinks it to be
relieved of hunger Allah will relieve the hunger. If one drinks it to quench the
thirst Allah will quench the thirst. This water is created by the pressure of
Hadrat Jabril (A) foot and was given to Hadrat Ismail (A) to drink.” (Dar Qatni
Hakim)
Zam Zam is a living miracle which the Hajj goers witness and avail as well. How
is lucky is such person who is able to serenade his work, body and soul with
this water. The same water that was used to serenade the ancestor of the Prophet
(PBUH) Hadrat Ismail (A); If one drinks ZamZam thinking of where it came from
there is no reason all the wishes would not come true.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Hadrat Abu Huraira related that the Prophet (PBUH) said:
“Allah says; ‘Oh son of Adam, be free for MY worship and I will fill your chest
with wealth and will take away your impoverishment. And if you do not do that
then I will fill your chest with worry and will not remove your impoverishment.”
(Ibn Maja, Tirmadi)
Allah is so merciful that whoever gives duty to Him He does that person’s work
Himself. If one closes the shop for prayer its not really closed it keeps giving
profit. If one misses work before of Hajj his present is being counted. In the
same way if one leaves work of Dawah, Education and Jihad he does not lose
anything instead there are benefits. And if one does not respond to Allah’s
calling then the work and business is as if it doesn’t exist even when it is
running. So, how should one respond to Allah’s love and care? What does Allah’s
worship and your pride tell you to do? The answer can only be, “run towards your
Lord”.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Hadrat Abu Dar related that the Prophet of Allah (PBUH) said:
“One who starts his morning in the way that this world is his purpose Allah has
no relation with that person and a person that accepts disrespect without any
force or problem he is not one of us.” (Tibrani)
Today where does the Muslim Ummah stand in the global world view? Have we not
agreed on disgrace without any force? Today Muslim are slaves to the West in
leadership and thought. We are under its rule and are following it accepting
that it is the leader. We have come to the point where we are free countries so
to speak but do not take even a small step without the order and permission of
the western leaders. Torture with those who are ruthless against innocent people
and establish their unfair system is a low of humanity that is should be
forbidden. Today we have lost our identity. Being humiliated and disrespected is
not the identity of Muslims. The Prophet (PBUH) said those are not one of us who
accept this faith.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Hadrat Ali narrated that one man came to the Prophet (PBUH) and said I am a
coward and weak, the Prophet (PBUH) said, “Come towards Jihad which involves no
weapons; that is Hajj.” (Tibrani)
Hajj means to go to Allah’s house towards His love saying Labaik Allahumma
Labaik. And Jihad means to give ones life for Allah. The essence of both is
love, both require travel, both have loss of money, the only difference is that
in Jihad there is use of weapons against the enemy and there is no such thing in
Hajj. Jihad can only be done by the brave and Hajj can be accomplished by both
brave and cowardly.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Hadrat Aishe (MABPWH) narrated that the Prophet of Allah (PBUH) said about
performing Umrah: “Your reward for this act will be given to you according to
the hardship and the money spent on it. “ (Hakim)
People who come from far and close, people who spend more and less, people who
suffer more and those who suffer less all of their rewards are not the same.
People who bare more hardship will get more rewards and people who bare less
hardship will bare less rewards. SubhanAllah! What fairness and justice Allah
parts.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Hadrat Abaada bin Samat relates that the Prophet of Allah (PBUH) said:
“Oh Allah! One who tortures and scares the people of Madinah You scare that
person instead. And he should be disgraced from Allah the people and all the
angels. No worship whether Fard or otherwise will be accepted from him.” (Tibrani
fil Ossat Alkabir)
Any sin that calls for disgrace is a major sin. The people doing Hajj should be
careful not to be insulting to the people of Madinah. They should not be in
their way, should respect them, and treat them with kindness. Sometimes people
get rough while buying and selling one should be mindful of that. The city of
the Prophet (PBUH) should be treating just as it is. Also respect the people of
Makkah just like the people of Madinah. If someone deals with you harshly deal
with him with patience and end the quarrel. However no matter where the person
lives if one disobeys Allah he loses the right to be respected and to be treated
with care. That person should be stopped from doing anything wrong. Anyone’s
respect is in following Allahs rule and is dependent on following Allah’s
commandments. If two are at odds then Allah’s respect and supremacy will come
first.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Hadrat Sabiita Aslami narrates that the Prophet of Allah (PBUH) said:
“Those of you who have the chance to die in Madinah should try to find death
over there. Because those who dies in Madinah I will be a witness for them on
the Day of Judgment.” (Tibrani fil Kabir)
Just like there are some places that are better to live in for worldly gains in
the same way some places are better to make a grave in and if a person gets to
be buried there he gets rewards for it keeping in mind that that person is a
good practicing Muslims. And even after being a true Muslim if one does not take
advantage of being buried in a rewarding place he loses much rewards and
blessings. Haram Sharif, Makkah, Madinah and Bait ul Maqdas are such places
where death benefits one a lot. If a person dies somewhere else he feels a sense
of loss. Only those are eligible for these rewards who have not committed a sin
which would keep them away from such places.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Hadrat Ibn Abbas narrates that the Prophet (PBUH) said:
“When Ibrahim (A) came to Minna for Hajj Shaitan came in front of him. So
Ibrahim (A) hit him with 7 pebbles to the point where he was immersed in the
ground. When he came in front of him again he threw 7 pebbles at him that he
immersed in the ground. Then when Shaitan came for the third time he hit him
again with pebbles and he was immersed in the ground. “ Ibn Abbas then says
that, “ you keep stoning the shaitan and keep following hadrat Ibrahim(A)”. (Ibn
Khazima, Hakim)
Hajj which is a recollection of the great Iman of Hadrat Ibrahim (A) also has
the stoning of Shaitan as one of those incidents. Throwing pebbles at shaitan to
the point where he is stuck in the ground is a delightful thought and idea.
Today it is very important to remember this incident as always. It is time to
put Shaitan and his essence into the ground.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Hadray Ans bin Malik relates that the Prophet of Allah (PBUH) said:
“If a man prays inside the house he gets reward for one prayer, in community
Mosque he gets rewarded for 25 prayers, and in a bigger city Mosque the reward
is of 500 prayers. Prayer in Masjid –e- Aqsa is rewarded as 5000 prayers and my
Masjid the reward is 5000 prayers and in Masjid al Haram the reward is worth
10,000 prayers.” (Ibn Maja)
For the people performing Hajj it is a golden opportunity to gain these rewards.
In this situation laziness and forgetfulness should be completely avoided. In
these important days one should pay attention to prayers rather then idle talk
and roaming in the markets. One lakh only for one. Is there any market in this
world which would give you one lakh for one? And if hypothetically it was
possible would there be anyone who would stay away from such a deal? No. People
would be standing in lines and many would not find room because of the rush.
Thus in Haram Shareef a person’s enthusiasm and interest should be just as much
as the rewards that have been promised.
