Organisation of Women Wing
1.
There shall be a
Secretary of Women Wing of Jama’at-e-Islami Pakistan, whom the President of
Jama’at-e-Islami Pakistan shall appoint for three years keeping in view the
opinion of women members of the Jama’at from all over the county, and she
shall continue in office as long as the President is satisfied with her work
and performance.
2.
The duties and
powers of the Secretary of Women Wing shall be the same in the women’s
organisation as those of the Secretary General under Article 35(4).
3.
There shall be a
Women Council to assist and advise the Secretary of Women Wing. It would
have at least seven and at the most 25 members who shall be elected by women
members of the Jama’at in proportion to the number of members in each
province provided that each province, if there is a woman member, is
represented by at least one woman representative.
4.
A Provincial,
District or Local Incharge (Nazima) shall be appointed in each Province,
District and Local Unit, respectively. She shall be appointed by the
President keeping in view the opinions of women members of the concerned
unit and in consultation with the Secretary of Women Wing, and the
information of this appointment shall be conveyed to the relevant
Presidents.
5.
The report system
in the Women Wing shall be the same as the one fixed for the subordinate
units of the Jama’at i.e. the Local Incharge shall forward her monthly
report to her higher set-up and a copy to the President of her District; the
District Incharge shall forward her quarterly report to her higher set-up
and a copy to the President of her Province; and the Secretary of Women Wing
shall forward her report to the Centre as usual.
6.
Women Wing
(whether Central, Provincial, District, Local or Regional) shall set up its
own Fund whose record shall be properly maintained, and for whose audit and
scrutiny the Incharge of the Central Fund shall formulate proper method and
system in the form of detailed rules and regulations, and get it approved by
the President, shall forward them to the Women Wing. These rules and
regulations shall be adhered to for maintaining and upkeep of the Fund.
7.
If women of a unit
feel the need for any amendment or change in the report system or in the
proposed rules and regulations of the Fund due to their specific
circumstances or compulsion, they may do so by referring to the President
and getting his approval.
8.
Each unit
of the Women Wing shall work under the guidance of the corresponding set-up
of the Jama’at, and shall forward a copy of its monthly/quarterly report of
income and expenditure to it. |
