MMA to observe Oct 8 as Sympathy Day |
|
LAHORE, Oct 03: Countrywide "Sympathy Day" (Youme
Eisar
) will be observed across the country on Oct 8 in
order to express solidarity with the quake-hit
people. This call is given by the MMA president and
ameer of Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan Qazi Hussain Ahmad
in a press statement on Tuesday
Qazi Hussain Ahmad said billion of dollars poured in
the national kitty form foreign countries besides
inland donations for the relief and rehabilitation
of quake-hit people. He said the nation and elected
representative have not been informed as to where
did the government spend this money.
He said the formation of
Earthquake Reconstruction and Rehabilitation
Authority (ERRA) was questioned in the
very outset but military dictator did not trust any
civil institution or elected forum to oversee the
relief operations. General Pervez Musharraf
arbitrarily appointed a serving army general head of
the relief body which was answerable to none but his
appointing authority. This made relief operation
process shady from day one.
Lauding the role of JI al-khidmat wing under the
supervision of former Nazim DCG Karachi Niamatullah
Khan in providing relief and later on taking care of
rehabilitation of the quake-hit people Qazi Hussain
Ahmad said the Al-Khidmat sent 2014 truckload of
relief goods comprising food items, 40,700
tarpaulin. Besides, 18 temporary schools were set up
in tents soon after the relief work started.
Qazi Hussain Ahmad said the quake-affected people
are still in need of resources to rehabilitate them
on permanent basis. He appealed the nation to
generously donate in the earthquake fund of
Al-Khidmat on Oct 8 so that miseries of the
suffering people are mitigated ahead of winter and
every quake-hit people get shelter. |

Grand Alliance necessary for pusing anti
dictatorship struggle: Qazi |
|
LAHORE, Oct 5: MMA president and JI Ameer Qazi
Hussain Ahmad has said that national security,
solidarity and defense of geographical and
ideological borders demand that all the sincere
political parties of the country should step up the
struggle to root out military dictatorship from the
platform of Grand Alliance.
He was talking to news men at an Iftar dinner hosted
in honor of workers and officials of JI secretariat
at Mansoorah on Thursday. Large number of JI leaders
and workers besides Christian employees at Mansoorah
were also present on the occasion.
Qazi stressed the need for establishing a Grand
Alliance in order to subject the consultation taking
place among different opposition parties to some
system. He said the Pakistan based leadership of PPP
comprised of seasoned politicians and they enjoyed
great respect among political quarters. But
unfortunately, the decision making is solely made by
Benazir Bhutto, he said, adding that it was the
reason Makhdoom Amin Fahim has been unable to play
any practical role in coordinating the opposition
parties struggle against military dictatorship
despite the fact that his views are more or less the
same as that of other opposition parties.
Qazi said Washington would never succeed in making
world peace through its so called New World Order,
because it is aimed at enslaving the human beings
through use of naked military force. Qazi warned
that global peace could not be guaranteed without
first establishing justice in the world. He
emphasized that the heavenly system of Islam has all
the capabilities to bring human beings into the
system of God by breaking them away from the slavery
of fellow human beings. He said a reflection of the
equality based Islamic system is that both Muslim
and Christian employees of JI were present at this
Iftar.
Qazi said Gen Musharraf in his book has tried to
ensure Washington that he was the only and the most
acceptable person in Pakistan with respect to
ideologies and culture. He said after Gen Musharraf
disclosed in the book that he hunted the alleged
Alqaeda men for Washington in return for money, the
entire freedom and peace loving world has been
cursing Islamabad for such a lust for money and
materialism. Qazi urged upon Muslim world to stand
by the Islamic system and instead of adopting
defensive or apologetic position they should make an
aggressive approach to present this religion of
peace and justice as a practicable model before the
world. And to achieve this goal it was necessary
that the rulers playing slaves of Washington should
be rid away immediately with the help of people. He
urged upon all opposition parties to maintain
complete unity and peace in their ranks. |

Musharraf soothing US by scarping Hudood laws: JI shoora |
|
LAHORE, Nov 6: Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan has termed
the women protection bill (WPB) an anti-religion
enactment seeking to appease the USA. It demanded
for its immediate withdrawal and also warned if
detention of Dr. Abdul Qadir led to loss of his
life, no one could save the rulers from the wrath of
Pakistani people. Islamabad's insistence on the
military solution of Balochistan problem proves that
the government is fulfilling the agenda of
anti-Pakistan and Islam forces in the strategically
important region of the country.
These views were expressed by the central shoora of
Jamaat-e-Islami in three separate resolutions on
amendments in Hudood laws, Dr. Abdul Qadir and
Balochistan issue. The apex policy meeting body of
the party is in session since Nov 4 at JI
headquarters Mansoorah. Qazi Hussain Ahmad presided
over the Monday session which adopted the numerous
other resolutions.
On Hudood Laws:
In a detailed resolution on Hudood laws the JI
shoora pointed out that various amendments in the
name of women protection bill were being made in
line with the US dictates available on the state
department website. The US foreign office, the
resolution added, had demanded to scrap Islamic laws
in its website six months ago. The meeting also
deplored adoption of select committee approved bill
for voting in the National Assembly [on Nov 10]
while Ulema committee had proposed eight amendments
in the select committee bill for bringing it in
conformity with the Islamic norms.
Highlighting clause-wise flaws in the select
committee women protection bill the JI resolution
observed that even no non-Muslims living in Pakistan
can endorse the changes in the government sponsored
bill. The shoora deplored restoration of repealed
provisions of 1979 Pakistan Penal Code to protect
the criminals involved in the offences likes
abduction etc in the WPB.
The meeting opined that 1979 Hudood Ordinance is not
repugnant to Quran and Sunnah therefore every
faithful should mobilize all available resources to
protect it. The shoora categorically maintained that
entire WPB is in conflict with the teaching of
Quran. The shoora appealed religious, political
parties, human rights and social welfare
institutions to play their active role in the
withdrawal of WPB so that honor of women folk is
protected.
On Dr. Abdul Qadir Khan
The shoora meeting also expressed grave concern over
the deteriorating health of national hero Dr. Abdul
Qadir Khan who made our defense impregnable. It
noted with great concern that private doctor
facility has been withdrawn from detained hero which
augment the fear of his family that rulers want Dr.
Abdul Qadir to die in detention. The JI resolution
warned the rulers of dire consequences saying: "if
any loss hit Dr. Qadir in detention then no one
could save the rulers from wrath of masses."
On Balochistan
A separate resolution on Balochistan inked a
detailed recipe of how to tackle the deprived
provinces of Pakistan with special emphasis on the
equal distribution of resources among the federating
units of Pakistan. The JI resolution took serious
notice of ignoring the local residents of
Balochistan in the execution of mega projects like
development of Gawadar and forcibly acquiring their
land for such mega projects without proper
compensation. The JI shoora was of the view that
denial to economic and political justice had always
been root cause of hatred and biases which always
affected peaceful co-existence in the past.
The resolution believed that immediate cessation of
army operation, production of political detainees
and release of innocent people could make the
situation conducive for talk. Closing the doors of
talk on elected political representatives, extra
judicial killing of tribal leaders, kidnapping of
scores of people by sleuths of official agencies and
without charge detention, free movement by agents of
enemies coinciding with the publication of maps of
independent Balochistan in US papers strengthen our
fear that the sitting army junta is following
footsteps of its predecessors and is leading the
country towards disintegration in line with the
Americans plans.
It urged the masses to increase pressure on the
authorities to fulfill provincial needs besides
making an earnest appeal to act upon the proposals
of parliamentary committee. The resolution demanded
that Balochistan should be given more representation
in the committee so that intra-provincial discord
comes to end and the federation is made strong.

JI seeks solution to
Kashmir, Palestine according to US resolutions |
|
LAHORE , Nov 08:
Jamaat-e-Islami central council has termed Palestine
and Kashmir core issues of Muslims Ummah and called
for their just solution on the basis of UN
resolutions.
The JI apex policy making body has condemned the
American-Zionist conspiracy to bring down Hamas
government in Palestine and Islamabad U-turn on the
principled stance of Kashmir.
Separate resolutions on Kashmir and Palestine
adopted by the JI central shoora the other day
lauded the heroic struggle by the Kashmiri people
who were laying their lives for the completion of
Pakistan. The JI shoora called upon people and
government of Pakistan not to leave them alone in
their indigenous struggle.
The meeting expressed grave concern over the
communiqué released after Mammohan-Musharraf talk
and said the entire nation has rejected it saying
Kashmir struggle can not be termed as terrorist
movement because it is aimed at liberating the
Kashmiris from the Indian yoke. "The UN character
fully supports struggle against occupation and
considers it a legitimate right of the people."
The shoora opined that Pakistan is incomplete with
out Kashmir which is an integrated whole and can not
be divided by any usurper. Glowing tributes were
paid by the shoora to Syed Ali Geelani and Syed
Salah Uddin and the people of Kashmir for rendering
unparallel sacrifices to achieve their cause. They
assured fullest support from the people of Pakistan
to their Kashmiri brethren.
The meeting noted with gratitude great help of
Kashmiri people after Oct 8 earthquake by Islamic
world and the West and criticized the role of ERRA
for their ineptness to use the foreign aid for the
rehabilitation of quake-hit people.
On Palestine
In a separate resolution on Palestine, the JI shoora
expressed grave concern over the economic blockage
and military siege of occupied Palestine after the
January 2006 elections which brought Islamic
Resistance Movement (Hamas) to power.
The meeting blasted US double standards vis-à-vis
democracy in the Middle East. The international
boycott of Hamas government under US pressure has
proved that Washington can not allow the masses to
exercise their free will unless she is assured of
getting self-serving interests from such democracy.
The JI shoora said Israeli open threats to
assassinate Hamas leadership in Palestine and abroad
speaks of the arrogance of Zionist state and
observed that silence of Muslim Ummah has emboldened
the aggressor many fold.
They lauded brave resistance offered by Palestinian
women to thwart Israeli incursion in Beit Hanon. The
meeting appealed the masses not to forget their
struggling Palestinian brethren in their struggle of
liberation the first Qibla from Zionist yoke.
On Bajour Agency
Yet another resolution about killings in Bajour
Agency the JI shoora held General Pervez Musharraf
responsible for the brutal bombing on religious
school. It proved that the rulers' apathy, who
according to resolution, were so scared from America
that they did not condemn the killing of tender age
students in the attack. |

Capitalist polices of military regime condemned |
|
LAHORE , Nov 09:
The Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan has condemned criminal
silence of military regime towards the problems of
Laborers who were rendered jobless due to
privatization policy of the sitting government and
also enslaved due to anti-laborer provisions of
IRO-2002.
The party called for upholding merit in recruitment
and giving interest-free loans to jobless educated
youth so that their energies could be used in the
task of nation-building. It also took strong
exception to hike in extra-judicial detention by
secret service sleuths and demanded immediate
release of all detainees held without fulfilling the
legal procedure.
These observations were made by central shoora of
Jamaat-e-Islami in separate resolutions on Laborers'
and youth problems in its important meeting which
concluded the other day here at JI central
secretariat Mansoorah. Ameer of Jamaat-e-Islami
Pakistan Qazi Hussain Ahmad presided over three days
meeting, which inter alia
empowered him to hold parleys with other opposition
parties to finalise modalities of anti-government
drive and long march to Islamabad.
The JI shoora resolution on laborers' problems
deplored the plight of manual workers despite the
fact they play pivotal role in the national
development. "The capitalistic policies of the
military rulers have literally enslaved laborers,"
it remarked adding thousand workers had been
dismissed from jobs under the Removal from Service
Ordinance 2000. Ruthless force is used to silence
dissenting voices against this draconian
legislation. Notwithstanding the Supreme Court
decision about the privatization of Pakistan Steels,
indiscriminate sale [privatization] of profitable
state institutions is continued unabated.
Blasting removal of daily wages workers from PTCL,
the resolution termed increase in working hours [of
men and women] from eight to 12, under the finance
bill, an unprecedented blow to the working lot whose
right to form trade union is suppressed under the
IRO-2002 in sheer violation of the constitutionally
guarded basic rights.
In a separate resolution on youth affairs, the JI
shoora expressed its concern over the exorbitant
joblessness in the country. Nepotism and abuse of
merit in government jobs is frustrating the jobless
youth while on the other hand semi-government and
government department are accommodating the ex-army
personnels for job.
The JI shoora urged to uphold the merit in jobs and
demanded to revoke discretionary and rules relaxing
powers of Prime Minister and Provincial Ministers
immediately. It demanded that jobless educated youth
should be given interest-free loans of rupees 10, 5
and 2.5 lakh to Masters, Bachelors and intermediate
pass youth respectively. It urged the government to
construct stadiums in every city so that youth can
engage themselves in healthy activities. The
government should help end illegal possession and
control of public parks by the Qabza groups and hand
them over to various youth organizations.
A separate resolution also condemned extra-judicial
arrests of the people by various secret service
sleuths saying: "this trend has seriously
compromised rule of law in the country. Every state
department is bound to uphold this rule of law but
in the back drop of so called war against terror
innocent people are picked by sleuths from homes.
Where about of such people are not known to the
families and there is no FIR against them. The
height of agony lies in the fact that no court of
law is able to redress the grievances of scores of
such families whose dear ones have been driven to
unknown destinations." The JI shoora strong
condemned such arrests and asked for immediate
release of all the arrested. |

Attack on journalists condemned |
|
LAHORE , Nov 14: Secretary Information
Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan Shahid Shamsi has expressed
concern over the increasing criminal attacks on the
life and property of senior journalists in major
cities like Islamabad, Lahore and Karachi.
In a statement on Tuesday Shahid Shamsi termed the
crimes against journalist community a well thought
out plan to silence the free press. Mr. Shamsi took
serious note of burglary in the house of Secretary
General Karachi Press Club Najib Ahmad. A linguistic
group, he said, active in the streets crime in port
city has now turned its guns towards media men.
He demanded immediate recovery of the looted assets
by bringing the culprits in accountability net.

Hafiz pleased on passage of Hasba Bill in NWFP |
|
LAHORE , Nov 14:
Jamaat-e-Islami naib ameer Hafiz Mohammad Idrees has
expressed satisfaction over the passage of Hasba
Bill by the NWFP assembly. He hoped the legislation
will usher in an era of peace and transparent
accountability in the province.
Addressing concluding session of five-day training
workshop here at party central secretariat Mansoorah
on Tuesday the JI leader deplored that rulers are
amending the Hudoud laws to appease their foreign
masters. The proposed legislation, he said, has
nothing to do with protection of women's rights.
"The select committee bill was rejected by
government nominated Ulema committee."
Hafiz Idrees said the MMA call for resignation on
the adoption of women protection bill by the
National Assembly should not be taken mere rhetoric.
It will lead to a peaceful mass movement which will
sweep the rulers out from the corridors of power, he
added. The Bush has tasted result of follies and now
it is time to teach his front line ally a lesson.
The JI leader urged the participants of workshop to
remain fully alive from the western challenges. |

JI Black Day to greet Musharaf in Gawadar |
|
LAHORE , Nov 15:
Balochistan chapter of Jamaat-e-Islami has given a
Black Day call on Thursday to condemn the killings
of innocent people in Bajour and Dargai. This call
coincides with President General Pervez Musharraf
visit to Gawadar [Balochistan port city].
In a joint press statement Jamaat-e-Islami ameer
Balochistan Maulana Abdul Haq Hashmi and Secretary
General Abdul Matin Akhunzada on Wednesday
castigated Islamabad's indifferent attitude towards
the plight of Baloch people and particularly of
Gawadar area. The people are deprived of basic
amenities like clean drinking water. Foreign
fishermen are infringing upon the rights of local
fishermen while uniformed rulers are busy in opening
five stars hotels in the area.
The JI leaders held federal minister of ports and
shipping responsible for the stuck up operations and
erosion of heavy machine installed at Gawadar
because he is least concerned about the development
of Karachi and Gawadar ports and instead busy in
playing role of land mafia by selling islands off
the Karachi shores to make money. |

PPP support to "dictatorial bill" disintegrated ARD:
JI leader |
|
LAHORE, Nov 18: The Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan
Secretary General Syed Munawar Hasan has stated that
Alliance for the Restoration of De ARD has
practically disintegrated after the PPP joined hands
with Gen Musharraf to support his Bill against the
Quran and Sunnah.
"Now those who signed Charter of Democracy to oust
Gen Musharraf have themselves dissociated on their
oath."
In a statement on Saturday Syed Munawar Hasan said
MMA's decision to resign in next assembly session
was so fearful for Gen Musharraf that he has started
thinking about coward acts of postponing national
assembly session for four months.
The JI leader said General Pervez Musharraf had
drawn clear war fronts by challenging the Islamic
forces in the country. He said military rulers were
destroying the whole fiber of the country by
accepting western dictation against Islam.. |

Qazi refutes differences in MMA |
|
LAHORE , Nov 28:
Muttahida Majlis-e-Amal president and ameer of
Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan Qazi Hussain Ahmad has
strongly dispelled an impression of discord in the
ranks of MMA.
"Our upcoming meeting on Dec 6-7 at Islamabad will
reinforce already prevailed unity amongst us on the
issues of national importance. The government
repressive measures and arrest can not frustrate our
movement."
The MMA leader expressed these views while
addressing provincial council (shoora) of Punjab and
replying reporters' queries here on Tuesday. Qazi
Hussain Ahmad pointed out that the United States has
decided to secularize Pakistan and the PPPP and PML
(Q) agreement on the passage of this controversial
indicates that both the parties are leading Pakistan
towards secular path endangering the ideological and
geographical frontiers of Pakistan.
The ruling clique, he said, is furthering colonial
designs of Washington and fear from the political
Islam. Therefore, they are trying hard to impede our
way. To a question, Qazi Hussain Ahmad clarified:
"our resignations from the assembly not only express
our displeasure about the bill rather we are against
every wrong step taken by the government." He said
the parliament has been reduced to the status of
showpiece while the military rulers are making all
important decisions outside the parliament.
Qazi Hussain Ahmad rejected the notion that free and
fair elections could be held in the presence of
General Pervez Musharraf. He has been publicly
canvassing for King's party whose chief Chuadhry
Shujaat Hussain was kept in dark about the amendment
bill. As many as 47 PML (Q) MPs were absent when the
government bulldozed controversial women protection
bill. Our decision to quit the National Assembly is
well thought out because we could not allow the
lackeys of west to secularize a country which was
created in the name of Islam.
After passage of the bill from parliament the
government's initiative for dialogue about this
piece of legislation awaiting president's assent
thereon speaks of their panic behavior because they
fully know that MMA will not rest back after
quitting National Assembly. Punjab, he said, had
been focal point of every mass movement. Punjab will
play pivotal role in our upcoming movement, he
concluded. |

Munawar refutes MQM charges |
|
LAHORE , Dec 18:
Secretary General Jamaat-e-Islami Syed Munawar Hasan
has termed the MQM charges of the JI's involvement
in hooliganism acts in Karachi as baseless,
unfounded and termed it an outcome of their
self-serving media drive to cover up their failure
in Sindh.
In a statement on Monday the JI leader said General
Pervez Musharraf is playing Indian role as far as
the Kashmir issue is concerned. He said the MQM is
hurling baseless charges against Jamaat. Being the
federal government allies in Islamabad and Sindh
government they have access to intelligence agencies
report, if the Muttahida has iota of proof about his
party's involvement in the lawlessness activities in
Karachi, they should present proof thereof in any
court of law to bring the so called JI involvement.
In order to cover up its failure in bringing the law
and order under its control, Syed Munawar said,
Muttahida Majlis-e-Amal is resorting to blame game.
He held General Pervez Musharraf economic policies
responsible the all out mess and poverty in the
country. The State Bank report has taken serious
note of failed economic policies of the army regime
in Pakistan. According to transparency international
report corruption in Pakistan has double during the
Musharraf regime.. |

Nawaz talks Qazi on phone |
|
LAHORE, Dec 21:
The PML (N) leader and former prime minister of
Pakistan Mian Mohammad Nawaz Sharif telephoned to
the MMA president and amir of Jamaat-e-Islami Qazi
Hussain Ahmad from London on Thursday night; says
the JI media office press release.
Both leaders discussed prevalent political situation
in the country in their telephonic talk and
underscored the need for a joint struggle to rid the
country from military dictatorship. They agreed that
MMA and ARD should launch joint struggle against the
army rule in Pakistan.
They opined that massive mass drive is the only way
out left to force the military rulers out from the
corridors of power. They were of the view that no
fair elections could be held in the presence of
General Pervez Musharraf. |

Qazi Eid Sermon at Jamia Mansoorah |
|
LAHORE, Jan 03: The MMA president and
Jamaat-e-Islami ameer Qazi Hussain Ahmad has
condemned the rulers for enforcing western culture
and ridiculing Islamic values in the country in the
name of enlightened moderation. Entire media has
been assigned to this task, he said while delivering
Eid sermon at Mansoorah.
Qazi warned that those trying to change our Islamic
culture and values are American agents. He said what
Musharraf regime is trying under the garb of
promoting liberalism is to revert Muslims back from
their allegiance to Allah and His messenger and
indulge them into life of lusts and luxuries. He
criticized Gen Musharraf for imposing himself on the
nation without public mandate and shamelessly calls
himself frontline ally of Washington in its war
against terror in which innocent civilians and
madressah children were killed but Islamabad regime
lacked the courage even to lodge any formal protest
with Washington. Similarly, the violent police
torture on family members protesting against the
disappearance of their fathers bowed the heads of
countrymen in shame.
Qazi said hanging Saddam Hussain on Eid day was a
contemptuous humiliation on Muslim ummah, adding
that it was a conspiracy to make Shias and Sunnis
fight against each other and divide Iraq into three
regions. He warned that Washington is implementing a
conspiracy to subjugate Muslims by imposing western
culture and ideology upon them through their puppet
rulers, and are bent upon shedding Muslim blood for
this goal. |

Allowing Basant despite court's ban irks opinion
leaders |
|
LAHORE, Jan 05:
President Jamiat Ittehadul Ulema and member National
Assembly Maulana Abdul Malik has condemned the
Punjab government decision to allow Basant despite
the apex court clear cut order of its banning.
Delivering Jumma sermon at Jamia Mansoorah on Friday
Maulana Abdul Malik said that the permission of
Banast speaks of the rulers so called care and
commitment to protect the lives of poor people. He
said the decision is aimed at seeking the pleasure
of General Pervez Musharraf who is desperate to show
the West so called soft image of Pakistan through
mix-marathon and killing Basnat just to prolong his
rule.
Maulana Abdul Malik strongly condemned the passage
of amendments in Hudoud laws saying it will open new
avenues of sex-rated crimes in the country. He said
the judicial murder of Saddam Hussain was not the
outcome of his reported crimes against his own
people rather he was hanged for declining to bow
before the US president and accepting his dictates.
The JI leader called upon the masses to forge unity
in their ranks and rally around the religious
parties as they can only challenge the un-Islamic
and unconstitutional rule of General Pervez
Musharraf.. |

Qazi votes against Basant in youth wing referendum |
|
LAHORE, Jan 10: The MMA president and Ameer
of Jamaat-e-Islami Qazi Hussain Ahmad has
said mix-marathon is disgrace of women stature.
Women can not get their rights by running semi-nude
along the men lot on roads. The rebelliousness of
woman leads to destruction of entire society.
He made these observations while addressing the JI
Youth Wing workers after casting his vote in a
Public Referendum against Basant in front of Lahore
Press Club on Wednesday. The referendum was
organized under the banner of Shahab-e-Milli
Pakistan.
Qazi Hussain Ahmad said our society is under the
Western influence and General Pervez Musharraf is
trying to appease his western masters by furthering
his agenda of so called enlightened moderation in
the country. He is promoting obscenity in the
country.
The JI leader said hooliganism unleashed during
Basant period leads to deaths of innocent people on
the roads. The blood-soaked bodies and cut throats
with razor-slit strings should not be order of the
day in civilized society. If any such game would
have led to large-scale deaths in a civilized
society, the game would have got an immediately ban
but proponents of the so called enlightened
moderation in Pakistan are not paying heed to
wailing families whose dear ones died because of
Basant.
Qazi Hussain Ahmad lauded the Shahab-e-Milli for
holding the public referendum on Basant. He urged
them to engage the young people in constructive and
healthy activities so that energies of youth could
be streamlined. |

Qazi gives protest day call on Jan 10 |
|
LAHORE, Jan 05: Muttahida Majlis-e-Amal president
and ameer of Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan Qazi Hussain
Ahmad has given a protest day call on Jan 10 to
condemn the NA by-elections in Bajour.
In a statement on Friday Qazi Hussain Ahmad said
that the Bajour's NA seat was vacated a couple of
weeks ago after the JI MNA Haroon Rashid resigned in
protest against the US bombing on a mosque and
madrassa by the USA in which more than 80 people
including minor kids were killed. The decision was
widely welcomed by the people of area which irked
the federal government. Later, Islamabad announced
to hold by-elections on the seat.
The people of Bajour, Qazi Hussain Ahmad pointed
